DARIAH DAY – Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage and Digital Humanities

A DARIAH day will be organised at the University of Avignon on 4 December 2017. The aim is to link together areas of expertise related cultural and natural heritage with digital humanities. The event is organised in the framework of European Research Infrastructure DARIAH ERIC and the Horizon 2020 funded project Humanities at Scale*.

Two interdisciplinary research domains are concerned by the event, cultural heritage and natural heritage. Researchers working on these domains frequently face questions raised by the analysis of text corpora as well as visual representations generated by this data.

The event will begin with the presentation of the AGORANTIC Federating Structure for Research and the DARIAH infrastructure. Furthermore, invited speakers will present their research projects in the field of Digital Humanities.

The objectives of this event are:

– Inform and propose solutions on how get in touch with European DH researchers, how to participate in DARIAH Working Groups, which tools are available, which training activities are proposed etc.;

– Present research projects in the domain of Digital Humanities.
