Humanities at Scale (HaS), a project coordinated by DARIAH, will receive 1.9 Million Euros under Horizon 2020 funding in the next two years.
Humanities at Scale will:
- Expand the existing DARIAH community to all scholars in the humanities and arts
- Integrate scholarly communities more effectively
- Offer services around DARIAH communities
- Foster national research infrastructure developments and interdisciplinary collaboration
The aim of the project is to address critical limitations of the current model of sharing knowledge in DARIAH and of connecting the national activities in digital arts and humanities initiatives in Europe. It focuses on delivering a stronger core for DARIAH’s operations as well as on providing more resources for all communities within DARIAH. This project will add essential services to DARIAH by enhancing its user community and with a wide range of innovation and training activities.
The consortium is led by DARIAH’s Director Tobias Blanke and DARIAH’s European Coordinator Marco Raciti and will work with a number of DARIAH partners to realize the DARIAH vision of digital arts and humanities services and activities by researchers for researchers. The project will include a number of specialized services that enrich the everyday work in digital arts and humanities.
Humanities at Scale (HaS) follows three DARIAH affiliated projects already selected for funding under Horizon 2020: EHRI (the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure), IPERION CH and PARTHENOS.
