This Week sees three important DARIAH-ERIC meetings and a first Humanities at Scale (HaS) gathering. All four meetings will take place in Berlin.
The most important meeting is DARIAH-ERIC’s General Assembly (GA). The GA is the governing body of DARIAH-ERIC. It decides, for example, to accept new Members, approves financial reports and the annul activity report. The GA will take place on Friday in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany.
Before the GA the Scientific Board (SB) meets for the first time. The SB advises DARIAH on scientific and technical matters. Its ten members are arts and humanities researchers with significant experience in digitally enabled-research methods.
The third DARIAH meeting is the National Coordinators Committee. The committee’s task is to integrate and coordinate national DARIAH activities at the European level.
Additionally Humanities at Scale (HaS), a DARIAH coordinated project, gains momentum. Before the three DARIAH meetings, its work package leaders meet for the first time face to face to discuss the HaS strategy.
